How we met

Keithcancook suggested this as a topic for my blog a few weeks back. Somehow this seems like the better venue...

Way back in the days of old (1983) I worked at a now-defunct retailer in Ann Arbor getting a new store off the ground. The bastard that was my manager decided to lay me off after getting through the grand opening and inventory, but since I still needed a job when I came back to school the following fall, I decided to try again. Well, the asshole had been replaced by his assistant and she hired me back on the spot.

Now, this wasn't my ideal job... cashier for a catalog showroom. Yuck. I wanted to be over in electronics, but couldn't seem to catch a break. Being stuck in the "showroom" ended up being OK. There was this one girl... nice, big boobs , cute and friendly... that I worked with a couple times a week. We'd get silly when we were bored... there was one night the assistant store manager caught us barking at each other -- I have no idea why, but we were. His only words... "I don't even want to know." We worked together for the entire year... ended up chatting in her car one night for a couple hours after the store closed (we had matching Monzas LO, but nothing more than friends - I was seeing someone already and wasn't looking. Once the school year ended I "retired" for the summer and went back home to make "big bucks" as a factory rat.

Along comes the fall and I'm back at Service Merchandise, but this time I say "I don't want to work in the showroom." Bad decision... off to Self Service (toys, sporting goods, and the dreaded BELT - where the warehouse items came down for customer pickup, something like 90% of the store was display only and the merchandise was upstairs).

Long story, not quite so long... my girlfriend and I broke up in late November or early December, 1985 and I decided to ask that nice, cute girl with big boobs out. It didn't start so well... I asked and she said "WHEN!?" Didn't quite match up with my expectations of "Sure, when?" Daunted, but not totally freaked out we worked out a day after exams were over. Being a poor college student I decided I'd cook (on a first date? was I nuts?)... thank the lord for Chef Boyardee and his packaged lasagna dinners. Unfortunately, my roomie didn't quite catch the hint he wasn't invited for dinner, so we had a third-wheel for a bit, but he did, eventually, make himself scarce. The we decided to catch a movie... hey, it's not my fault he left before we did.

We saw Clue, but I can't really recall what we did afterward... I'm guessing we spent a lot of time in the car talking... we seemed to have done a lot of that that first year or so we knew each other.

Since then, we've been together... recent transgressions notwithstanding.

I'm sure she'll be along to correct my mistakes.

Welcome Sizzle... there may be a brief intermission, but please feel free to visit the concession stand where we can provide you with most of the things you'll need to get you through. Sorry, this is a BYOW (Bring Your Own Woman) establishment, so you're on your own in that regard.

Hey barking is great, we bark at each other all the time! Barking is healthy. She even did seal barking when we were dating! We still love who let the dogs out whoof whoof whoof!

And Chef boyardee is a great guy, he is my hero!

Anyways a sign of a healthy relationship is your own special language!
you two rock!

Never saw "Clue" Though I did think Tim was quite interesting looking...except in drag, of course. One of my roommates in college actually have a couple of his LPs! Amazing... Suspect 'rose wasn't even born when those happened...

Alison Moyet was in Clue too - the maid, I think - lovely BBW, and an AWESOME voice as well - have a couple of her tapes... Anyway...I'm tangenting...

Nice little story. Deb went to EMU too?

Yeah, you two rock, in several different ways (and in some ways as often as possible, it seems) Apparently I'm continually living vicariously through you. Wouldn't be SO bad, if I had popcorn too!

Rock on...

FWB... The movie really wasn't that great, but as first date movie it wasn't too bad. We both did go to Eastern... Go Hurons!

One large bucket of 'corn coming up!
