Annoying policies and other stupidities

In your profile you are not allowed to have other contact information or HTML tags. I can understand that (although it is somewhat annoying), but what I don't understand is WHY can't I have a link in my AdultFriendFinder profile to my AdultFriendFinder Blog???? It's a service that AdultFriendFinder offers, so why can't I list the address for it?

Along those same lines, here is something that I found amusing. We're all members of a website that links adults for adult activities. In other words, 99% are here to find A) a significant other (which would include having sex) or B ) are here looking for recreational sex. So how come the standard "Nice shoes, wanna fuck?" type line is considered rude? Atleast by some of the women I have encountered here. Actually, that is a little VERY forward of a line, but the concept remains the same.

Case in point; I see a profile of a very attractive lady who in her picture is showing off a set of tits that certainly deserve to be shown off. My "opening line" was, "Hiya, Nice boa... but nicer tits you've got there!" with a smiley at the end (she was wearing a pink boa in her picture). For all intents and purposes this was a compliment, however, she said it was rude and didn't want to talk because of it. If you don't want people talking about your tits, then A ) why do you show them off in your profile picture? and B ) what are you doing on a sex site?

Well.. another day is here, lets see what interesting individuals I can run into today.

I totally agree about the blog link. My profile was rejected when I tried to insert one... now I just go along.

Which brings me to your second point. I'm sure any sociologist here will tell you in this virtual world there are also new virtual rules. And because the women are the prized community here...(due to their numbers) they set the rules. Some may not find your comment rude but from what I read, the prevailing trend is a lighter approach.

Of course, when you find the one that appreciates that comment, maybe you have a match.

Happy hunting.

The link to your profile is all over the blogs. Right now if I clicked on your name above your picture I would go to tyour handle. Also, you can link to your profile like this [handle martin-1] the instructions are right to the left as you create a new post.

As to the other comments - just because a woman is on here looking for possible sex, it doesn't mean she wants to feel like she is a piece of meat. Granted some women enjoy those comments but it is better off to start off a wee bit less forceful if you want to have a chance with every woman.

I stand corrected - the correct format is note "handle" - it is "member" so here is the link martin-1 - but a I said - on this page there is a link to your profile directly above your picture - and the link to my profile is the top line above my picture - the second line is a link to my blog.

I totalyl agree with the "piece of meat" statement. In a world of just text, the light-heartedness of a "break the ice" line is hard to convey. However, By virtue of their scarcity, the women tend to actually treat the guys more like a piece-of-meat. How often has any guy here heard the "you're not black" or " What?? only 8.5 inches?" or any similar rejective remark.

The potential for double standards and hypocritism is high in cyberspace; that's a known fact. I just got a chuckle out of being shut down over a light-hearted remark that was induced by a display of female assets about the assets in question. It does go to say, that a lady who can see a "break the ice" line for what it is and laugh about it, would be a better match.

ahhh the joys of cyber-psychology!

PostingNick: The link TO the blog is/was the problem; not the link FROM the blog to my profile. I made reference to my blog in my profile text, and that led me to be "Pending" for a good bit of time.

Dunno if you will find this comment but what the heck....

sorry for the confusion on the blog link. As you may notice, in the lower left of your profile there is a link to your most recent blog posts - so thats one thing..... You might direct people to look down that-a-way in your description. My main title says 'to know me read my blog' - So even standard people can see that without being able to view my profile. If they can't figgure out how to track down my blog..... well there is only so much we can do.

btw - we are both in Indiana, I know of only one female in this state that is blogging - lol - so good luck in your search
