The End of Chasing Rainbows

When do you stop chasing rainbows? Is it when you finally convince yourself that the illusion offers you nothing? There is no reward, no nirvana, no eternal happiness.

Is it time to return to the life you have known? Already knowing the outcome will only bring further hurt and disappointment.

The world of users and being used. Dealing with dealers and all the crap they spread. Knowing that any happiness found will be fleeting and will last only as long as you have something left to give.

But isn't that little bit of happiness worth it compared to being alone?

The time has come to stop chasing rainbows.

Does that mean stop dreaming dreams?

That hope has met a deadend and no reverse/k turn?

The glass is not halfful/empty but there's a hole in the bottom?

Don't worry, be Happy

Sounds to me that giving up chasing rainbows is like giving up hope. Not a good thing to do.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

Marc...the illusion only stops when we completely lose hope...don't ever stop searching for inner peace...sometimes we need to build walls to protect ourselves from the hurts of the world. Start to unpeel the layers to find your inner peace....a feeling of absolute confidence, contentment, and deep inner fulfillment that allows you to be free in your feelings and thoughts. It is living without insecurity, without fears, without self-doubt.

You need 4 things to achieve this:

A "dertermination" of "I will do whatever it takes".

A "commitment" to face the truth about yourself with absolute honesty.

A "resolve" to put in a quality effort.

A "resolution" not to allow other people's words to hols you back.

Everyone knows that at the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold...At the end of my rainbow is my friend...YOU ...with your love and guidence I have achieved my inner peace...now the tables are turned and I want to help you find your inner peace...I'm here.

Oh Marc,
You know sometimes its hard not to quit. Ive almost quit a lot of things in the past year. But a few things drive me on. One is knowing that I like myself, even with my faults. & even thought I wonder if I'll ever find that one lady to spend my life with, the excitment of the next one is to much fun to stop now. I'm hooked. I cant help it.

Your a great guy, dont give up. Sometimes maybe you have to stop & take a long look at yourself. Then its easyer to move on.

Maybe the dreams of the future have been replaced by the dreams of yesterday.

I love the hole in the bottom of the glass thought.

I believe there comes a time in life where you realize that there is very little future left and your hopes of what that future would be like are replaced by a stark reality of loneliness, emptiness.
Sometimes the only solution is to return to what brought some happiness in the past and try to recapture some of those times.

Thank you for your words of wisdom and support. They are appreciated.

Sometimes we have to be brutally honest within ourselves and face the future as it really is.

There is no inner peace waiting for me, only the reality of the situation.

Sometimes a rainbow is this glorious bright multi coloured bow up in the sky that is so amazing that people stop in the road to look.. sometimes a rainbow is so huge and glorious that one is just not enough and two or even occationaly three are needed to show how full of energy and life it can be. But sometimes that rainbow is just the very tiniest hint of a soft pastel hue in the sky only seen when we really stop and look for it. Maybe your 'rainbow' just needs to be seen in a quiet peaceful place, not in the loud hustle bustle of a busy mind. And always remember this...two things a rainbow needs are sunshine and rain. If you keep the rainy thoughts foremost in your mind you can't see the rainbow, you need some sunshine, or happy thoughts, to have a good imaginary rainbow to be produced

I will not stop chasing rainbows until they put me in the groud, and then I might come back as the *pot of gold* at the end of it.. *smile*.
