Weird music choices........................................................

Ever get in a mode where the only music you want to listen to is completely at odds with your mood? I seem to be in a fairly normal mood tonight but all I can stand to listen to is the most depressing music I have .

Alice Cooper (Poison)
Seether (Broken)
Dio (Rainbow in the Dark)
HIM (Wings of a Butterfly)
Kelly Clarkson (Because of You)
James Blunt
The Darkness
ec....................................

Now I KNOW there's something wrong with me

I don't know, I think the Darkness is scarier then Kelly Clarkson, at least the song he mentions is a good one.

I'm addicted to the James Blunt CD and yes it is quite depressing really.

So this is my thing with music, I listen to what my mood is to get out of my mood. Does that make sense? For example, when I'm in a really angry mood, I listen to Marilyn Manson's Irresponsible Hate Anthem and suddenly I'm in a good mood. Or if I feel myself slipping into a sad, dark place I put on my depressing music...

And it does tend to work in reverse, if I hear certain songs that others find cheerful and happy, they put me in a bad mood. Perfect example is 'Walking on Sunshine' from Katrina and the Waves.

I would have to say something is wrong if you are listening to Kelly Clarkson.

I've jokingly called country music to molest sheep by. I think Mzhunyhole may have hit it on the head tho.
