Self Worth

I have realized since starting these blogs that I have very little self worth or confidence, just writing about myself etc, I have realized all I ever seem to do is put myself down, I was surprised when anyone took the time to make a comment on any of them, suppose I never really expected anyone to actually read them.

I have been so down on myself that a message that I received from a guy about a week ago, after reading the message and his profile, I didn't consider I was worthy of him wasting his time, I felt I was the rough to his smooth. Ok I know that some profiles on here are complete lies, but as its the 1st point of contact you have to take it at face value, until further contact has been made.

I wrote a blog earlier about Grabbing the day by the balls, this along with other posts I have made on my own and others blogs has made me realize, I'm worth nothing to nobody until I'm worth something to myself.

So this is a list of things I'm good at or have achieved.

I can cook, clean and look after 5 children.

I can cross stitch very well

I read very well, not always the best books, but I read anything and have done since I was 4 years old.

I can swim

I can enter and win competitions, ok mainly prize draws, but I have things that I wouldn't own if I didn't enter and win.

My maths teacher always said could do better, Heck I worked in Insurance for 12 years calculating premiums etc, before computers did it all. I have also done my husbands accounts and wages for 5 years. Think I did better.

When the Insurance brokers did go computerized, I was the one that had her salary doubled as I was the only 1 that thought the computer wouldn't bite, and became the 1st port of call for any problems on it.

After changing careers after my 2nd child was born, I was asked twice to become supervisor where I worked because of my understanding of the job.

I have taught 5 children to speak English, but getting them to understand what I say is still a struggle.

I can still do cartwheels, much to the amazement of my kids.

I once came 3rd in a Table Tennis tournament.

I use to do cross country running for my school.

I can decorate, not brilliant, but I'm learning (managed 4 bedrooms in the school summer holidays)

I have been driving for 14 years, and have only had 1 small accident and 3 points on my licence for speeding, heck it was up a hill and the car needed the speed to get to the top.

My kids mates think I'm cool, because I listen to so many different types of music instead of telling them to turn it down.

I can type 45 wpm still.

I know the correct etiquette for dining in posh restaurants.

I can play crib very well.

I have nursed a very ill baby who need alot of care, oxygen and medication and he has survived to being a fit 8 yr old, the doctor once informed me I was doing the job of a highly qualified pediatric nurse.

Ok I'm struggling to think of any more at the moment, but I think its a start. I will do better and these blogs are my way of showing myself that I am worth something to myself.

Thank you to everyone that has posted on my blogs and helped in making me a more confidant person.

Your HOT in denim!

You are able to vocalize what your thinking and feeling with ease.

You don't get weirded out watching porno movies. Nice

Should I keep going?

Been a while since they last let me out into polite society. Resurfacing, catching a breath, & catching up.

And while I got my Broad-Brimmed Pimping Hat on, could I cajole all of y'all to Comment on, Alone In A Cloud? It's probably the best thing that I've written!

Isn't it amazing, once U put things down on paper, or in a blog, you start to see that you've accomplished some astounding feats !!! If U had only listed raising 5 children, that's one hell of an accomplishment by itself !!! Just look at the list you have !!! You have so much worth and potential !!! Do whatever it takes to remind yourself of that constantly !!! YOU ROCK KITTEN !!! Cabo-Very-Impressed-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you kitty!
In all seriousness you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.
I am certain that almost every huuman life has worth.
All that time you have spent raising a large family, working hard on your career and even speeding up hills has made you into a person that has an effect on the lives of all those around you.
Whether they tell you or not, your children DO think you have more worth than anyone else in this world. Just think back to all the times you have put your hand out to help them up stairs, across roads etc. What made them take your hand without saying a word?
My child (only the 1) shows this all time to myself and her mother without even speaking. Though she isn't even 2 yet, she can communicate very powerfully her feelings for those she values most.

Anyways, before I get into a full rant, you should always remember that you are valued, and your life has great worth. The world would be a much more depressing place without people like you in it.
Keep on bloggin!

Oh heck, I was going to comment to each and everyone of you, but I cant see the screen for the tears, thank you all for your kind comments, you are all right Im worth more than anything to my kids, and as I wrote that list in no particular order, the fact that they are at the top and the 1st thing I thought about when I started it shows that they are worth more than I realise to me.
