A Moment in Time!

Did you ever felt like you missed a chance?

Ever reflected on a situation where if you could wind the clock back you would have done things differently?

Can think of a few occassions when I wish I had acted differently! When I wish I had maybe just taken a chance! When maybe I should have just have risked all!

Yes you've guessed there were women involved.

If I had those 'monents in time' back again I would do things differently! I would have seized the moment!

Would my life be any different now? Probably not; but I would have made the most of that 'moment in time'. And, you know what? that the best we can ever hope for. Seize the moment!

The moment is now, the moment may never come again.

Ah yes, but the missed moments make you appreciate the ones that you grabbed with both hands (metaphorically speaking of course !!)

Mistress Innuendo
Taking what you say and turning it into something naughty !!

Very true and I hadn't thought about it like that. Sometimes we concentrate on the missed opportunities and forget about all the wonderful experiences we've because we seized others (metaphorically speaking of course!! )

Not too sure about this exact moment Macker.....but sure there is always tomorrow...

For me there were 'moments' as in more than one. But you're rigt of course; there is tomorrow and there'll be other moments; trick is to be sure and seize them!

I have had a few moments in life like that. I just don't wish to look back and regret them.

Probably a good philosophy. Sometimes we spend too much time dwelling on the past (in fact I wrote a blog about that very subject). But sometimes it's hard not to reflect on what might have been especially if the moment missed was a potentially life changing one.

I'm looking forward to making sure I don't let any more opportunities slip through my fingers

I'm sure most of us have missed a moment or two. I think my husband has missed a few that he just plain didn't realize were really there! lol

Now that's an interesting thought. How many moments have we all missed that we didn't even realise were there. Noooo, better not go there or I'll drive myself mad.

I'm sure your husband has had more than enough wonderful moments with you to compensate for any he may have missed

Exactly; but to seize the moment can sometimes mean conquering one's fears of inhibitions! And therein lies the challenge

Sometimes words can make your dreams come true.
Something I would never have believed.
Although I am dreamer and a romantic, I have always based my life on logical and reasonable presumptions.
But there sometimes is a door of opportunity that opens without even knocking on it.....
when your dreams can come true in only a single moment in time.

When love come's in logic tends to go out! I agree with you that words can be so sensual, so powerful, so erotic. Words can stimulate one's imagination; arouse the senses and not just in a sexual way. The words can often enlighten our other senses and make us see, feel, smell things which without the words may not have been so obvious.

But we love with our mind, with our heart, with something intangible that's in us all that is deeper than any of our senses. And whatever it is, it's difficult if not impossible to describe in words.

So maybe you're right; when the moment is right I'll seize it
