Smile, God loves you.

I was originaly going to post on the contempt I have for any man who would raise his hand against a woman, but I decided to post something uplifting instead.
This is done to a standard 50's four chord progression of C Am F G similar to "Last kiss".

Walkin down that road again.
I know where I'm goin'.
Don't need no road map to guide me,
on my way.

I've been down this road before,
I know where it's takin' me.
It's takin' me to my new tomorrows.
Gonna' be a better day for me.

If you're goin' to serve the Lord,
you better serve him while you can.
'cause inside this body beats the heart of a fallen man.

And when it's time for movin' on,
you'll be here, but I'll be gone.
I'll be walkin' down that road again.
Takin' me to see a better day.

Sometimes it's rough,
To walk the straight and narrow.
Sometimes it's winding, turning,
so hard to follow.

For a while I guess I lost my way.
Now I'm walkin' down that road again.
Takin' me to my new tomorows.
It's gonna be a better day for me.

Wait and see.

Gonna' be better for you and me.

That one always has a calming effect on me. I'd really like to put music to some of your writings. Words seem to flow from you so naturally. They always give me fits when trying to write a song.

Thanks! This song explains exactly how I'm feeling now that (hopefully) the rough stuff is over. I really like it!

Geez! I can't believe that words give you fits!!! I'm not even close to being a musician and have written over 20 songs. They just come to me, like a flood gate was opened or something. I only have about 3 that I feel are good enough for recording

I'm primarily a guitar player. I only started singing in the past couple of years, and I'm not very good at it. MO can verify that. The music part comes easy, but I usually need help with the words.

Thank you, Gypsy. You are on my list to get a copy of "Mallard Crossing's greatest misses" as soon as it's finished.

Just a quick note. It will probably be several months before I have a cd ready.
