I'm flippin pissed!

Oh buddy, those of you who read my blog know I'm married to the hardest working and most sencere person I've ever known. But the SOB's are taking to much advantage of her. She just called me at work, all crying, telling me she has to go into work. Her idiot boss did the schedule this week and forgot to have someone there for the 7 to 3 shift. My sweetie was scheduled for the 3 to 11. Now the assholes think she's going to pull a double! Not this time. If I have to go get her and make her leave that place. I have told her we can find a way to make it on just my income and by god that's what we're going to do.

Call the labor board. There are rules about overtime and how much notice you have to be given. They can't make you work, meaning if you say no when not given enough notice they can't fire you or give you a bad review because of it. Employers hate when an employee knows those rules and use them to their benefit but it helps straighten things out. She'll start getting more notice.

The person that screwed the schedule should be the one filling in the spot.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

Luv....is your wife a nurse? Man, your post brought back so many feelings to me. I'm a nurse...and I take my job seriously...and people really took advantage of me too! She's lucky to have you!

Your poor wife. She has worked so much lately. If she is a nurse, she can get a job anywhere. I would be almost rolling in money here, if I were a nurse. But maybe her working so hard makes her too tired for whoopie. Maybe if she just takes a leave for the rest of the summer she can relax with you and haave some fun. I hope it works out.

Thanks for all the positive feedback ladies. No she not in the medical field, She the front desk manager for a major Hotel (you'd recognize the name). Bless her heart, she's another overworked and under payed woman. I work in the corporate world and I'm continuously amazed at the disparity in how women are treated and payed. But now I'm preaching to the choir. I've talked to her and she's giving them notice and quiting the end of the month. I'm going to try and talk her into taking a month or so off and rest up. She can always get a job in management at another hotel. Well folks here we go.
