where there

In the breaking dawn of new regulations, namely one post per person, I suggest heavy editting. Once you post, immediately comment on your own post. Then, each day, or often, throuhout the day, edit that comment, and fill it in with your comment to anyone who has added to your post.
This doesn't solve the elimination of back and forth for the visitor, but it does allow for you to at least ackowledge them.
Or....ciopy and paste each comment into your message, and then delete the original message. Once a visitor's message has been erased, they might be able to leave a message again.
We are gonna give that a try here.....

apparantly I have overslept. I see this actually being done already, by a rose of texas.....

I will copy and paste your comment into here, and then delete your comment. Then just add another....it may not help the counters, but it could continue the dialogue. Better to test this here, in a quiet little place, before attempting it in a hot spot, like all y'alls blogs.....lol....
anarchy....it's not for everyone....actually? it's just for ME.

Here is my one comment; does this mean that you can't respond to the comment I left in reply to your comment in my blog?

Why don't they have a separate function where you can reply to a person's comment and create a thread within that one comment. It seems weird to "comment" in my own blog, when really I'm just replying to other people's comments.

Waiting for you to sweep me into the vortex of your comment box and see what happends next...

I think you were just looking for an opportunity to use the slippery mood indicator.

lol, keithcancook... I think we were all looking for workarounds while the "bug" existed. Thank goodness, that is over and things can be more normalized.
