yes....you can be addicted to "love"

but.................
do you find it to be
mind altering.....
would you list sex
with those other
stepping stones
we tread
to get off?

What do you mean? I am not following you. What other "stepping stones"?

hello Keith...
I'm refering to substances that alter the mind, such as alchohol, marijuana, or whatever people use to step outside the minute to minute world. At times I find sex to be as strong of a mind altering experience as these.....

A momentuous lapse of being in touch of what else might be going on around us? I can see that... heat of the passion... nothing else around you seems as important as the immediate moment at hand and the person you are with.

Question for you though... if one is being oblivious to the world around them while they are making love, and really, really enjoys having sex, does that necessarily mean that they are so addicted to sex that they are a nympho??? Where is the line drawn????

I don't think that really really enjoying sex makes you a nympho sex addict. I think that endangering one's self or others in exchange for engaging in sex is what could cause one to be labeled an addict. One caveat: I have known horny couples to leave their young children entertained by cartoons ALL MORNING LONG on Saturday in order that they could lock themselves in their bedroom and commune with one another for more than 17 minutes while listening for kids. THAT does not make you an addict. that MAKES YOU A HAPPILY MARRIED COUPLE. jUST GO CHECK ON THE KIDDIES EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE! (Sorry about the damn capital letters. I hunt and peck on the computer!!!!)

all points understood
I was reflecting on how some things alter your sense of reality....alchohol, pot, chocolate...
and in my experience...sex as well.
the addiction lead in was misleading, however all of life's diversions tend to lead to addiction for some.
mine was not a judgement, but a humorous observation that when I dwell on sex, time slips away....
