too much information.....

Isn't it amazing how one small piece of knowledge can shape the way you look at things or read them as the case may be?
I have found that little tidbits can lead one to feel as though there was an issue of eavesdropping....I would never assume to know all, see or any of that nonsense. It just helps me understand situations better.
I was cleaning huse today and ran across a bforgotten piece of paper left behind by one of my dear friends. He is an incredible artist and had taken to drawing and writing evidentally deep thought on this small scrap. The images were telling and exact; I knew from seeing the illustrations who these words were intended for and upon reading them, I felt almost guilty for even assuming the right to peruse them...
It was written for an old lover that I knew and some of it was directed towards the image of me....I don't have the problem of bumping into him anytime soon; he's in N. Carolina visiting family and the awareness will have faded by then.
I only feel strange because I didn't know his thoughts about me.
It's nice to know though.

Very well put...I find it funny sometimes that we can be really close to someone, share thoughts, opinions, even argue and debate, yet never fully, or even partially, disclose one's true feelings for the other. I've had great female friends that I would have walked on broken glass for, never let them know my innermost thoughts about them...and then found out years after the fact that they had many of the same notions. As far as feeling guilty for reading it...look at it this way...karmic forces are never easy to understand, predict, or control. Perhaps it was left unconsciously by your friend...a fear of losing a friendship over unshared thoughts or emotions manifests in a forgotten note to someone else, when perhaps it WAS meant for you. Maybe not. But, for whatever reason, you happened to clean house, it turned up, and now you know...the universe has it's own reasons for that, and you should bear no ill feelings for the discovery.....Bobby

He intentionally left it for you to find, LG. Whatever it was he wanted to tell you, he felt more comfortable this way than in words. Maybe there aren't words to express what he's telling you, or it gives him plausible deniability.

I've done the same thing... a sin of sorts that I couldn't bring myself to confess.

Whatever the case, he left it to tell you something. The important thing is to interpret the drawing correctly, and not how you want to interpret it.
