car wreck

Today had been a scary day...On the way into Dallas to pick up my check, I was involved in a car wreck.......My friend had come by and convince me that I needed to go for morning Bloody Marys at the, it's been years since I did that...He ran a red light after I had dozed off in the front seat....I have whiplash and a few scrapes....It could have been so bad.....I have been in shock all day and now the soreness has reiterated the need for caution.......Mortality, maiming, bad

Yeah, WTF were you thinkin'? It must have been years, that's a Sunday morning gig....weekdays call for coffee and Bailley's in a thermos(blends in better with the blue-collar crowd) And what kind of bloody vodka comes from a place called"WINEdale"? Just wonderin...but seriously, glad you didn't get too much "maiming mortal bad pain"..
pronounced: injured.. Funny how the hardest person to convince that your not as young as you used to yourself....I know I'm still not convinced! Be careful out there, damnit!

The worst part is the fact that I had a premonition to not go.....I let him convince me that I should "lighten up...F*** OFF.
And yes, it is a little dive bar shere I use dto barback.....The wine sucks, but they do stock Grey Goose....I prefer that stuff in something very dirty and very dry......
I thank you for your concern.....I am sticking to my biclcle for a while.....I feel safer...and if you know Dallas, you understand how scary a comment that

Glad you are walking, talking, and breathing myself. Now you get the real headache, Insurance companies(the crooked, greedy, bastards). PIP is probably capped at $2500, physical therapy for whiplash will smoke that up quickly. Travesty there public relations department have done such a good job of promoting insurance scam stories, that someone by law can't get there medical needs addressed properly these days. Who hires the best attorneys and lobbyist in the world, insurance companies. Now state laws play right into these greedy conglomerations hands, which we get to be forced to pay for by law. Where is government to protect us when we as common man get hurt, then railroaded by these bastards. Okay I'm off my soapbox now, hope you get to feeling better.

You need to trust those intuitions.....I did spend 1 new years eve in Dallas, don't think a bicycle would have been my preferred mode of transpo....pretty sprawling if I recall. I DO remember taking some god-forsaken mostly 2-lane road north to Amarillo on New Years day... (route 287 maybe?) I needed an ignition part for my Z/28, the road was concrete and teeth-rattling bumpy, cotton blowing everywhere....and being Sunday and a Holiday the sidewalks were rolled up in all the little towns I went through...finally found a place open in Childress.. I swore that was the last time I drove cross country without a map! (true story) Anyway,...bikes are cool, just get good lights and a big-ass lock...I say that from ....Grey bottles, but I'll stick to the Sour mash....Dive bars rock!

I am new to reading your blog, but am really happy to hear that nothing extremely awful has befallen you. I hope your bruises and neck pain subside and heal.

If it were some people I've known in the past, they'd be wearing a neck-brace and suing the insurance Co. as we speak... HAHA! What the hell, since a neck injury is known to creep up on people years from now...
