The addictive nature of it all......

I love the verbal intercourse of the blogging her.
I haven't had any type of on-line journal before. I have to say that the whole thing has been a rather pleasant surprise to me....I even admit to a certain amount of addictive behavior when it comes to some particular writers....I get a voyeuristic tingle effect from reading others' intimate thoughts...
Obviously, some are better than others...The ones that grab me, I find myself checking regularly, looking for my mental "fix".....the exchange of words is such an aphrodisiac for me...I know it is a simplification, but maybe it's true about the variations of verbal vs. visual stimulation...I know personallly, they hit different parts of the pleasure centers in my brain......

I agree, and it is kind of addicting. I've only been blogging for a couple weeks now, but I love it. If it wasn't for the great blogs I read when I first came here, I probably would have left.

Hi Lushgirl!

I just found your blog this evenng. I'm always fascinated by people's reaction to the written word, especially that of regular folks. I teach undergrad comp and have spent a lot of time researching and experiencing the value of sharing writing. I'm glad you enjoy blogging.

I've realized long ago how so much of love, passion, sex, lust, desire, wanting, needing... is in our minds. Yes, I agree that sight, sound, taste, smells, all the senses matter, but it all ends up in the same place. We can lie to ourselves for a while, like what a jerk the other person is, especially when they please our eyes so, or they're so good at the art of sexual pleasure, but eventually the words they say spark our minds, and it's amazing how someone so physically beautiful can become undesireable because of the words they communicate to us. And then there are those poets. The masters of the language of thoughts. They can look so ordinary, yet create fantastic worlds of wonder and delight with the words they weave, igniting a flame in our hearts that blaze far brighter and lasts longer than any picture can. So when you find someone who can turn on your mind and is seductive to your eye, you know it's all over! LOL! Here are the keys to my heart and pants! Do with it as you will! HAHA!
