Are we alone?...What do you believe?

It seems only fitting that with the opening of Steven Speilberg's new movie "War of the Worlds" opening tomorrow that news of a new discovery comes our way.

Last Monday astronomer Geoffrey W. Marcy discovered a planet, not unlike ours, orbiting a normal star that has all the necessities to sustain life.

Over 2,000 years ago, the Greek philosophers Aristotle and Epicurus argued about whether or not there were other Earth-like planets. Now, for the first time, we have evidence that there are.

So, for those of you who are not aliens and have never had a close encounter of the third kind (since we already know what you think) what do you believe? Are we alone?

Well said Kate...and, regardless, I don't think you'll ever be alone; unless of course you want to be.

Looks like we may be the only two Kate; or, nobody else gives a damn!
