Now I know how Dorothy felt

Yesterday I went to get my hair done. It's not something I do very often because of the cost. (My hair usually is more expensive) Well, I finally decided to just do it.

The girl was very friendly. We talked a lot which made the time go by rather quickly. I found out some very interesting things about her too. Her father has been in and out of prison several times. Each time he's out, he gets some woman pregnant. The last time he was out, he got two women pregnant! She stated she has 7 sisters and 1 brother, and her father is only 40!

But I digress...After about 2 hours, I was sitting there with about 250+ perm rods in my hair...Lovely site!

Next came 20 minutes of dealing with the wonderful smell of the perm solution. My hair needed three bottles!! I can’t understand why after all these years that perms have been around that they can’t come up with a better smelling product! I mean, they can scent everything else, why not perms???

Anyway, after that came the torture ‒ the rinse process. It is so painful sitting in that chair trying to hold my head up with the rods pulling my hair. The girl was considerate though, and allowed me to stand over the sink the old fashioned way.

Neutralizer time ‒ 5 minutes of dripping everywhere, including down my shirt into my bra!

Now it was time to take all those rods out. Luckily, it wasn’t very busy so two other girls helped her. I kept thinking of Dorothy being pampered while in OZ. lol

Time for another rinse. It felt so much better without all the rods in!

Finally, she cut about 1 ½ inches off, put some conditioner in it, and I was good to go.

Soooo, what do you think? Was 3 hours at the beauty shop worth it????

more pics of it inside...

I like it! All that really matters is how you feel.

You and Shaye.....curly heads on a trip of a lifetime!!! If I start to hear in the paper of a string of pranks by some curly headed women......I'll have to wonder. Seriously....it looks great! And it will be easy to take care of too.
