Practice What Is Preached

OK, I've realized something about myself recently, and was wondering if anyone else feels the same, I am able to give pretty good advice to people with relationship or personal problems. Yet, if the problem is something that is close to things going on in my life at the moment, I feel hypocritcal about giving it since I don't personally follow it.

Maybe I should start paying more attention to the advice I give other people, then I would be as happy or more able to cope with things as those that receive my advise, and put it to use.

Has anyone else ever felt the same? Or, am I alone in this feeling?

On to "better" news...I received a phone call Tuesday night from a lady that I work with while doing psychic fairs. Yes, I believe and I give intuitive tarot readings -- feel free to ask questions. I gave a reading to one of her business associates, and told her she had cancer, not knowing that she had a cancer scare before. She blew me off due to my age, until recently when she was diagnosed, and the words from her reading rang in her head -- see why I put the "better" in quotes. She asked if I would give her a read at the psychic fair this Friday in Ann Arbor. Now, I wasn't scheduled to be there, but due to my respect for a person that specifically asks for my serves, I will show up to read her.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy that she has been diagnosed with cancer, but I am happy that I was able to help soften the blow -- that's what she told the head of the psychic fair at least. Plus, I am humbled by the fact that she asked for a follow-up read from me personally.

Well, I've bored all of you long enough. Thanx for taking the time to read this blog.

To answer your question...We advise with the head, but experience with the heart; therefore 'tis easier to give advice than receive it.

Hi honey,,you are most definately not alone. The ability to help others is a gift. Now the supreme irony with me here is,,,the more i help others the more difficult it becomes to heed my own advice............look at history, aint it always the way! blessings to you.

To zenyen and AIME29...

Thanx for assuring me that I'm not alone in my advice quandry. Doesn't seem fair does it? I am sure one day we will all get better at following some of our own advice.

To BLONDENEEDSEX...

I have always felt good about my abilities. You see, I am a firm believer that one should not be afraid of what they are able to do, only what they do not allow themselves to do.

To Tala4u2...

Indeed the answers are out there. The trick is to be aware of what's happening around you.

Always keep one thing in mind... "The mind/heart is like a parachute, it only works when open."
