My Hero

He was always there for me, to catch me when I fell, to save me from the world. As a child, I looked to him for answers- it seemed he knew everything. He knew every name for clouds, every flower & tree, every bird in our yard. As an adult, I turned to him for advise. I didnt always like his answer, but knew it was unbiased & for my own good. He was non-judgemental & taught me to look for the good in people. He was my hero...I lost my father 7 years ago, aweek before Christmas, at the young age of 58. He had a brain aneurysm, lasted 7 days in the hospital- I was at his side every minute. It makes me cry still to think of it. He will always live on through me as I carry his wisdom with me...always. Father's day is so bittersweet for me, I still miss my best friend terribly. This Sunday, celebrate life.

Hello Looking,

I know that ache in the heart...I too lost my father...I miss him...I wrote in my blog a tribute to my father "He Never Failed"...So for our Fathers who left us too soon their memories and legacy that are left behind still lingers thru the test of time...

Hugs to You,
Florallei

Even though you lost him, you had that in your life. In my field of work, I see far too much of then opposite happen. This is a great blog, though. Nice in-site to your inner world.

I have a BA in psychology. Currently I work with DD/MR and ABI people. I have worked with troubled youths in the past.

The pleasure is all mine, looking. Based on you alone, I am certain that he was. *smiling warmly*

You are blessed - you have monumental memories that will warm you til the end. Mine is still with us - though I yearn for a relationship with him - he is a good man - just a bit lost himself.
