but i have had about enough of the hatred of Jane Fonda for actions that happened a long time ago,,and she has regretted and apologized numreous times for,,let it go guys...she is not the one to be angry with....she did not torure or beat,,no the captors did..i have seen pictures smuggled out by vets,,of the babies nailed to trees, guts hanging out,,the horrors of war taken with Kodiak,,,,so i know what went on there...i lost people,tooo..and i also know that our boys were not always the heros as they are painted,,so get off the high horse...if you can't forgive it,,neither will your deeds be forgiven,,is it worth going to hell for??? ARE YOU SO PURE AND HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY ,,THAT YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN GUILTY OF BETRAYAL,,HOW FAR BACK SHALL WE GO TO PROVE OTHERWISE???? BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE PLAYED THE DIRTY DEED GAME,,NONE ARE INNOCENT...MAYBE it didn't cause a death or two but it hurt someone not yourself,,so get over it and go on,,stop with the BLAME GAME,,grow up....it time to lay the shit down and quit carrying it like some badge of honor,,it isn't..honorable at all,,,not for you...or is it easier to blame others because you can't face your own deeds,,more wicked and worse that her actions..Z????hers,,, betrayal ,,yours,,,cruelty? banality??? betrayal of wives and mothers??? who are you really hating???and whose story will we believe if we heard it from both sides ??? so if you are going to join the others who have this phobia about Jane Fonda,,at least get all the facts and not just the military proproganda crap....she made a mistake,,has admitted it to the world,,how much more do you want ,,her life ???? would that even help you with the residue of war,,i don't think so....if you can't let it go ,,then you are nothing more than a trained attack dog,,not a soldier...no honor for you....humans fuck up,,it is what we do best and most often....get used to it...

In 1988, Fonda admitted to former American POWs and their families that she had some regrets, stating:

I would like to say something, not just to Vietnam veterans in New England, but to men who were in Vietnam, who I hurt, or whose pain I caused to deepen because of things that I said or did. I was trying to help end the killing and the war, but there were times when I was thoughtless and careless about it and I'm very sorry that I hurt them. And I want to apologize to them and their families. [...] I will go to my grave regretting the photograph of me in an anti-aircraft gun, which looks like I was trying to shoot at American planes. It hurt so many soldiers. It galvanized such hostility. It was the most horrible thing I could possibly have done. It was just thoughtless.

But gotta remember it was/is hard to forget... As usual the government lies to us, therefore who are we really supposed to listen too?

Now won't last forever, so use it wisely~c

Sure she apologized but a little too late for my liking....but I also dislike her cause she cannot act for diddly! Her and Cindy Sheehan should go have coffee or something..........

I don't hate Jane Fonda, but it was a fantastically stupid thing to do. For a celebrity in the public eye all the time and in the middle of such a divisive war, crap like that sticks like glue. Right or wrong, regardless of all the good stuff she's done, she's always going to be stuck with Hanoi Jane.

Of course, there's always a price to taking a stand, especially if you're a celeb and your living depends on not pissing your fans off. Witness the Dixie Chicks.
