Maybe I'm just too elitist?

I'm not ashamed to say I have strong feelings about somethings. I love music, books and arts, but not ALL music or All books or ALL art.

I am open to new ideas and actively seek them out, but I do value certain things in my preferred artists, authors etc. And I hope that my close friends share some of those values, and are able to rationalise their preferences somehow.

So if there is anyone else out there who likes all of the following... you are scary! lol

Seriously though, I am looking for someone with a significant overlap of musical, literary and artistic knowledge/tastes, sufficiently open and similar social and political views, and nice boobs (oops!) Is that really asking too much? Am I doomed to sit here with my weird books, listening to my obscure music, watching cult TV or films and making do with the occasional fling, casual shag or whatever?
Should I compromise?

Maybe I will do that hit list next? See if anyone out there really does match up...

Why don't you look for someone opposite from your interests and views and try "mainstream"? Good luck with your search..

Why would someone with opposit interests be of interest? Similar but slightly different surely?
And why should I try 'mainstream'? Most mainstream stuff is only popular because people don't know what else is out there, they get what they are given. I want someone prepared to actively look beyond that... to think for theirself.
