My Friend Network

"My Friend Network"......what a joke!

I was reviewing my "friends" and then realized I had never heard boo from any of them except maybe one or two. So with that thought in mind, I deleted absolutely everyone from my network. I now have no friends....LOL

This is not a big deal, they were just names, various pics of faces (if I was lucky to receive a face pic and it wasn't blacked out), and other various body parts. (all shapes and sizes - man is not created equal)

You know how it is, you get an invitation to "please join my network of friends", thinking that maybe, just maybe, you would get a quick email telling you "thank you, I'm glad you're here. Let's communicate." Hah.....guess again....

This whole network thing must be like collecting baseball cards, stamps or other items people like to collect. Except here, they're collecting people!!

Then, when checking out a profile you see THEIR network of friends. At that point I'm wondering if they are "just friends" or "friends with benefits". I know it's none of my business and I shouldn't really give a hoot, but that thought crosses my mind. So, out of curiosity I'm checking "snugglebunny"s (using this as an example, I hope that's not really a real handle on here, if it is, I apologize for using that name) profile and seeing if I measure up to these other women. Now this is just plain stupid of me to even do this, but it's like my evil twin takes over and I can't help it!

Now guys....if you want a lady to be interested maybe you should change those settings and keep your network of friends private. The only time that showing your friends would be useful is if other men or bi-curious women are checking out your profiles.

Well, enough of this subject! Stay-tuned for more Random Thoughts from me......A Lady without Friends!! LOL

The My Friend Network is what ever you want it to be I guess. I have some special friends in mine. I should have as you say wrote a thank you e-mail, but I'm sorry to say I didn't. I didn't think it was something I had to do, I guess.

There are many groups in your Friend Network that one could put there friends in, but I don't think anyone can see that.

You are right about keeping it private. I have mine so that only the one's in my Network can see it.

I will be looking for your next Random Thoughts, This one was one I haven't seen anywhere else. Come and visit my blog at [blog Smile_My_Way]'s I would like to hear your comments.

I cannot imagine you not having friends. Anyone that lives in Marblehead surely has to have friends. I'd love to chat anytime. You can never have too many friends. gentle giant

You should not take it like a competition. You are a wonderful person and you should not worry how you "stack up"to other peoples friends.Just because a person has a friend network does not mean that he or she is doing everyone on it,I have a couple of friends that I chat with very much and have never met them,or may not ever.Just believe in yourself and the friends that do write to you often....

Good idea, Lady. Actually I didn't know you could "turn it off", but after reading your post I looked for and found how to do it.
