Good sex - it's all in your head!
Good sex - it's all in your head!
Now, anyone who knows me knows that I love to read. And anyone who really knows me knows that I really love to read sex books. Not pornographic novels, but actual sex manuals and self-help guides. In fact, I have a good theory about why I enjoy them so much.
Basically, my theory goes something like this: OK, I am a man. And, given that I only experience the act of sex from a man's persepctive, I have no damn idea exactly what happens to the female body/mind/spirit during sex. Can't happen, cause I am not equipped the same. However, what I can do is find someone who does know what happens, and is somewhat articulate about explaining it. Hence, the sex manual. Especially those written by women, for women. Because the same reasoning can be applied to them. They haven't a clue as to what happens to a man during sex, but what they do do is try to explain it in simple terms that all women can understand. I know...it's kind of a "back-door" approach, but any chance I can get to have a bit of knowledge gained is worth it in my book.
So, be that as it may, I have recently come across a couple of good books that I am seriously recommending every guy should read. The first is She Comes First : The Thinking Man's Guide to Pleasuring a Woman, a very good book, not written by a woman, mind you, but I'll let that slide for now . Basically, the author tells us guys that the key to making her want you more and often is by going downtown. Ype, that's right guys. If you can give her mind-altering orgasms with your tongue, you're most of the way there to being a sex-god in her eyes. This books also give the reader a great insight into her physology and what heppens to her body during all phases of sex. A deffinate read for all those of you who want to unleash your inner stud.
The next one I recommend is Five Minutes to Orgasm Every Time You Make Love: Female Orgasm Made Simple. Now, while this is written by women for women, guys should grab a copy and check out what they can do to help their partner to achieve that elusive beast, the female orgasm, each and every time they have sex. This book is especially wonderful for those women out there who suffer from not being able to achieve orgasm easily or only with lots and lots of time and assistance. Another definate must-read.
Lastly, but by no means least, is Lou Paget's wonderful How to Give Her Absolute Pleasure: Totally Explicit Techniques Every Woman Wants Her Man to Know. This is it, fellas! This is the books your wife/girlfriend/lover/play partner wants you to read and devour. Not only does Ms. Paget give outstanding advice, but her simple techniques can take you from the realm of "Oh my God" to "Jesus F*cking Chr*st, what was THAT?!?" What better, is that after you learn these techniques, you can spring them unsuspecting on your partner the next time you play, and she'll wonder whatever got into you. Always a fun pastime.
One other book I recommend is The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks. This is a great book for the bi-curious woman who is looking to take the plunge, but is unsure how to go about it. Written in very simple, yet at times very amusing, tones, it gives the bi-curious woman helpful insights in everything from simple answers to the most common questions to great pick-up lines and pointers to what to do after you've made it past the bedroom door. A great primer for crossing the bi barrier.
Well, that's enough bedside reading for now...hopefully these books will help you take things to the next sexual peak.
Until next time...play hard and play safe.
