No Pets. No Smoking

Due to the I90/Snoqualmie Pass one lane restriction durring rock removal cha cha, I am staying in the city tonight.
Problem 1: The hotel doesn't allow pets. My traveling buddy Sia will have to sleep in the pickup. She stays in the house 8-10 hours a day and never makes a mess. Well once in awhile she'll shred an empty Milk Duds box left on the coffee table. I asked the manager if they ever made an exception to the rule. "Not since the woman with asthma almost died" I understand their policy. But I'm going to smoke cigarettes in the bathroom just the same. I won't sleep very well tonight. I'm not because I'm being "cruel" to my buddy, but because I'll miss her rolling around on the bed, and snorting at 5AM letting me know it's time to get moving. Where's PITA when I need them! Shouldn't hotels be required to have pet friendly rooms? The shame of making a dog sleep in fear all night.( Sia would rip the larynx from any ubfortunate car thief.) I'll park in the rear where it will be the quietest, but sh'e still gonna be pissed. Oh well I'll be sure and let her leave eveidence of her occupation in the morning.
I take full responsibilty for not insuring the hotel would accept my four legged accomplice. This happens about every four years. It seams to take that long for the guilt to fade. I'll have all night to come up with a special breakfast for her.
You know how dogs are, all will be forgiven.

Problem 2. This doesn't seem to be very valid after defining Problem 1. It was pretty self centered

DUDE! I'm mad now..You didn't?????? I'm gonna make you sleep in a truck! This is why I don't travel much - if my dogs can't be with me at all times....the tourist industry doesn't get my dollars. Second PETA sucs! Theya re a terrorist organization directly connected to ELF, they killed more animals in "protest" than any other group I know. (I could tell you personal stories). Their underlying purpose is to abolish ALL pet "ownership". Be careful who you "root" for.
On a final note:
ALL Shilo Inns accept dogs; and here's some books you might be interested in: "On the Road With Your Pet" - Mobile Travel Guide
and; "Pets Accepted"

I would have "checked out".
