Busting my "blogging" cherry so to speak...

Figured I'd jump on the blog bandwagon and give this a whirl. I mean why not? I have thoughts and ideas rattling around in this old brain of mine. And some days they just need a way to be expressed. And how better than throwing into the somewhat anonymous world of the internet. :: chuckles ::
I actually have a bit of a rant I need to get off my chest today. I recieved a piece of "hate" mail the other day. Apparently I had not responded to this gentleman's message to me and he took it rather badly. I had several reactions to the rather abusive missive he sent. The first was anger, the second amusement. Now.. I normally try to answer most of the mail I recieve, but as I politely pointed out to this gentleman.. I am a standard member and thus my abilities to respond are limited. If I do not respond to you there are probably a variety of reasons, the first being I have used up my allottment. The second reason would be.. you've not really written anything worth responding to. I'm sorry.. but as an example, a letter written that simply says "Hey sexy.. " .. Not quite sure what it is you want back from me. And last but not least... it's from someone that has obviously not taken the time to check out my profile.. or pay heed to what it is I'm looking for. I do have guidelines laid out as to age .. distance.. etc. That's what those little stars are for folks! And while I am flexible.. I need you to be real. Girls.. am I so wrong here? Should I be answering EVERY letter I recieve? No matter what?
As I said.. when my limited capabilities allow.. I answer, even if it's a polite No Thank You.. But please.. I don't need to be called names, threatened.. etc.. because I didn't answer your note. Whew.. I feel better now!

You are in charge of yourself. Don't waste your limited answering capacity on no thank yous. Anyone too stupid to realize your non response means you are not interested is not deserving of a reply!

Blogs are a good place to ranting, It's healthy and productive to let off steam every once in a while. As for the e-mail, don't waste your time and energy answering the letters that truly don't interest you.

Welcome to blogland...

As for your rant... Its a shame that you were bothered and offended by the hate mail, but it says something positive about you -- that you're sensitive enough to at least be concerned about the interaction. There are plenty of people (men and women) on AdultFriendFinder that would simply deleted the email, imagining the word 'Loser' as they did.

And of course, we haven't even addressed they guys that are angry with you because you haven't written to them first!

I am one of the many that has written to you on numerous occasions. My approach is that as long as you don't get an out and out rejection you have to keep the lines of communication open. You cannot possibly view and respond to everyone. My time will come when you will notice me as I have noticed you. I hope you sense the same sort of connection as I do with you.

I want to thank everyone who shared their feedback with me. I will admit I was surprised. I thought I'd get a lot of "Yes.. damnit. You should always answer your mail!" type comments
Thanks again!

I'm locating to your area I love your picture. I'm new to this and am not a paying member. I'm single 61 horney and adventurous. Maybe I don't belong to this group I'm straight and although I understand the love between swaping couples. I feel it can hold people together that might have split. I haven't been able to relax my catholic upbringing, so I'm looking for a single woman interested in a monogomous relationship

that is the reason a lady at work has a poster in her tool box and it reads< woman need man like a fish need a bicycle, seat, one day i will learn about the meaning, in the mean time live your life and ignore the A/Holes, God create all kind,

Nicely put, Justacuriouspuss!
I know I purchased the gold membership and being the astute person I hope to be, I filed the membership info in the back of my mind that everyone else could email as much as I could.
Now I have gone from "Eyes wide shut " to "semi-opened ".
This sure changes my thinking on email responses. Thank you .
I commend you on your patience and I like your open attitude to the situation.
A pleasure to read your blog.

you have the high road.....everyday life sometimes keeps us from answering e-mail in a timely fashion, 99.9% of the internet users realize this

I have to agree with your postion as do these other gentleman and you have found the perfect medium to communicate with the more articulate of the male population here on AdultFriendFinder. Welcome to blogland, the more you do this the more you will be read. It is also a good sounding board for a lot of people hear.

Do not feel bad if you cannot answer every single person that emails you. I know the women to men ratio on here weighs heavy on the male side. Just answer who you want to answer, and if the guys keep pestering you, hit them with one of the declining quick replys. I have found it easier to communicate through blogs, as you weed out alot of the fakes right from the start. I hope you are enjoying your blogging!
