A Little Humor to Start off the Week

I happened upon a Celebrity Roast of William Shatner on Comedy Central, and have been laughing my ass off for the past half-hour. Earlier, I had been reading some blogs and read a classic blond joke posted by sexyeyes102005 in her blog I finally won!. I recommend checking it out. It reminded me of two of my favorite Aggie Jokes (which are quite popular here in Texas).

The first one is as follows:

There was a junior vice president of a major oil company, a real up and comer. He was a summa cum laude graduate in petroleum engineering from Texas A & M University. But every time he made an important presentation, someone invariably stopped him and asked: "Say, you're and Aggie aren't you?"

Well this was really getting to the young man, so he decided to do something about it. He hired himself the best elocution teacher in the country and worked tirelessly with him every spare moment he had for six months. At the end of the six months, his elocution teacher pronounced that he was now ready to go out into the world and demonstrate his perfect diction, he had graduated.

Well the young executive was so excited he went out to the nearest store and strode confidently up to the counter and asked the clerk: "I would like a pound of butter, and quart of milk and a pound of butter." Each syllable was enunciated clearly and distinctly.

The clerk stared at the executive for a moment, scratched his chin and finally asked the man: "Say, you're an Aggie aren't you?"

At this point the executive just lost it. He began ranting and screaming: "Yes, I am an Aggie, but how could you tell? I spoke perfect English. Each word was enunciated with perfect clarity. The was not a trace of an accent."

The clerk stared at him again for moment, and then said: "Well sir, this here is a hardware store."

The second is:

What were the four best years of an Aggie's life?

The third grade.
