"Madea's Family Reunion"

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, and I see a lot of movies (at least 2 a week on average). Tyler Perry is proving himself to be a master at blending comedy and serious social issues to convey a message of hope, responsibility and respect which transcends racial barriers. I heartily recommend this movie to everyone over the age of 13. It is too bad that it has been released so early in the year, as I am sure it will get completely over looked when Oscar time rolls around again. Tyler Perry is certainly deserving of a Best Screenplay/Director nomination. While the actors were all excellent (Lynn Whitfield and Blair Underwood were particularly good playing the two most unlikeable characters), with an ensemble cast it would be unlikely to receive any acting nominations even if was released in December.
