rantings of a dangerous mind

The problem when you have to much free time on your hands if that is allows you to dwell on any thing that pops into your head. Too much time driving allows me to consider things that make little sense even if by some small chance they might be a fact. Yesterday I contemplated that just suppose that this reality that we hold so dearly is nothing more than a software program running on the hard drive of some superior being or race some where in another space or time.
With all the advances in modern AI that we have supposedly made it could be true. Well if that is the case then aren't we been the biggest fools of all, as if our puny lives and actions really mean any thing at all. A rather morbid point of view don't you think? At any point the game might be over and the whole world might just suddenly cease to exist.
One might become frustrated with the way the game is going and suddenly choose to hit the reset button and then what? The hard drive might crash and we might be stuck in a never ending state of suspension. So if we are little bits of digital data traveling across the ether then why? All for the amusement of someone we just can't perceive or understand.
