I lied. Sorta.

Two new releases today, Aeon Flux and Casanova.

I give Casanova 10 out 10. Great film! It was witty, well acted, and the plot moved at just the right pace. I would NOT characterize it as a chick flick, so don't let that stand in your way.

I give Aeon Flux 8 out of 10. It was acted very well, strong performances by all. Charlize must have worked hard to get back into her gorgous figure after doing Monster, but she looks great in the legendary Aeon wardrobes. The action sequences were abit too prompted and mechanical, like a puppet imitating a bruckheimer film. For that it loses a point, it also loses a point for slowing at the half-way point for plot reasons. It was a needed slow down but detracts from the movie as a whole -1 pt.

Upcomings I want to see:

MI:3 Yes I will see the movie by the incredible dipshit Tom Cruise. I pay him to act, and he does it well. I don't really care what actors do in their offtime. so what? he makes a complete ass out of himself on a regular basis and is yet another political dumbshit. If I stopped patronizing actors that make asses out of themselves, well, I'd have to stop watching movies. A great cast.
Waiting for the DVD.

PotC 2: Johnny Depp. Need I say more? The first movie was brilliant, and contains the greatest role ever played by Depp. I doubt the 2nd will be a letdown. Jack Sparrows eccentricities are so suitably matched to Depp's own. I may even see this one in the theatre.

I am however looking forward to seeing Lost City bomb. Not because it's a bad movie, I think it would actually be good, I just passionately abhor Alec. So I'm a hypocrite, sue me.

Flight 93 sounds pretty interesting, but I just can't get into these "limited set" type movies... stuck on a plane, stuck in a room, stuck in a yadda yadda. I think its a step in the right direction for hollywood though.

hmmmm I have to agree with Shayne...... I enjoyed the orginal alot. and 93 I feel is going to be more of a nod to 9-11 but I think it will probly be a really good movie too. I enjoyed the MI shows and actually hate Tom crize i them ....for all that he actually does a great job in the first picture the second picture of that name was a limper real bad. I haven't seen Aeon Flux yet but use to love the shows on MTV, I get the idea that looking at the live action movie previews that it wouldn't be as good. Cassanove I am not sure about but will give it a quick look to see if I might like it. I think I know too much of the true history of the person of Cassanova for me to possibly enjoy it We will see

Aeon's action sequences were good enough to get by on. thats one place I took points. Cassanova is excellent, trust.
