A quote for Freetime's love of music....and why.

"....talking out in the fields today." Hi, whats your name? "Bob Fliber". Bob, what do you do? "I'm in artillery!" Thankyou Bob. Can we play anything special for you today? "ANYTHING,just play it loud, okay?"

Why....Having only lived in the area a short time, I have really not had the chance to really get to know too many friends, nor them me. One of them asked me today if I'd like to do a little shopping and coffee one day this weekend, and I had to decline. When asked why I couldn't, I stated that I had a shooting match to attend and since my aim has been way off lately, this was a good opportunity for me to get some practice in. Her jaw dropped to the floor and you'd of thought that it got hotter then a snakes ass in a wagon roundup out here in Arizona. She explained that she had just assumed that I was of the "prim and proper" type, so, me even holding a weapon, shocked her. So, I decided to come clean with all the goods in that area. And that although she knew me as the gardening, flower-skirted wearing, lipstick must always match, kinda gal....I was also a gun packin, ex-prison officer, tornado chasing, security foot patrol, ex-military, deer hunting fool who could field dress a deer in ten minutes....as long as my K-Bar was sharp, kinda gal too. Might not hear from that new friend for awhile...lol We were raised kind of funky as kids. So I'm a prime example of a walking talking contradiction. But hey, as long as my lipstick matches my cammo....I am soooo good to go....and another lol.

That thought led to this thought.... I will never talk religion or politics with most people or on this site. (age teaches that, huh?) But, I will talk military. (or sex) I have alot, ALOT, of friends who serve our country every day and in every aspect of military life. Active duty, reserves, vets, retirees, from every branch of the military. I pray for them and salute them everyday of my life....proudly, freely and openly. So, for all my friends above and in foriegn lands, who write me, email me and call when they're able....this quote is for you.
The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he/she must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.
-Douglas MacArthur-

And for those who just don't get it....
Si vis pacem, para bellum (if you want peace, prepare for war)

and Good Night

In the mood I have been in the past couple days I think the saying I will go with is.......

"You smell that? Do you smell that? Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning." ...(Robert Duvall: Apocolypse Now)

I will not or can not promise you any, "no tickling" of the hide.
But, I can assure you that taking my time is always top priority.
