Stowed Away (A Love in London)

Though my eyes have never gazed upon your England
my heart has stowed away
mingling about the archaic charm of your city
I am stretched
from where I am. . .
to where you are. . .

I feel the cool damp nights
and days of London
There, I am small and reticent
almost unborn, beneath your city streets
within your thoughts, behind your eyes;
A subtle trade wind
spread out across half a world

You are fast asleep,
just before a new dawn,
I am writing poetry
in the last hour of my waning night
hoping to build a bridge
to narrow the way
from your heart, to mine

Muchos abrazos y besimos
