Energy drinks . . . Energy . . .Really?

Has anyone tried any or the new energy drinks. I was at the park last month and noticed a can that said "Sparks" on it. Since I had never seen one before, i picked it up and read the ingredients. It seems that it has Alcohol, Vitamins and Caffeine in it. Here is what I found in Wikapedia about it:

Sparks is an energy drink, one of the first such beverages also to contain alcohol. It is marketed as a "malt beverage." Its active ingredients caffeine, taurine, and ginseng are common to energy drinks, however its additional focus on alcohol is not. Other similar "malternatives" that also proclaim energy enhancement include 3SUM. Its packaging states a 6% alcoholic content by volume, higher than most domestic beer (commonly 3-6. Its flavor is similar to standard energy drinks such as Red Bull, Monster, and Rockstar, with a tart, citric, sugary taste.

I thought to myself, "Wow, now you can get drunk and be nervous at the same time!" It used to be that people would just drink Red Bull and add vodka. Now you can get the same effect with just one drink! And you don't have to feel as guilty either because you are taking some exotic vitamins too! Energy drinks will have truly evolved when they finally decide to put nicotine in them. That way, you can satisfy your craving for coffee, cigarettes and a beer all with one convenient product!

Sorry, it just struck me as funny. That's all. Alcohol is a depressant. Caffeine and Siberian Ginseng are stimulants. They make you nervous but do not give you energy. When you come down, you are more tired than before. Want energy.? Stop swallowing the marketing hype. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, drink eight glasses of water per day, exercise regularly and get adequate sleep. I take a quality vitamin supplement every day too. I feel like a teenager again. Only with better judgment. LOL

Just out of curiosity, what is it that saps your energy? What kind of things are helping you feel more energized?
