Oh boy. I made a fool of myself Saturday night so I've made heavy revisions to the offending post. What a jackass!

Hope that everybody had a relaxing holiday! I drove up to see my mom in Quaker Hill CT. There was some traffic, but I'd always hook up with another guy and stay ahead of the pack. The 135 mile trip takes about 2:15 each way. I was by myself so I didn't have to worry about anybody else getting paranoid. It WAS a QUICK trip.

On a holiday, Route 95 is loaded with travelers. 10-12 cars tend to form in little clumps or herds. There's usually at least one camper per herd that caused it in the first place. Once you get around said camper, it's open road for a half-mile or so until you run into the next herd, ad infinitum. The fun part is figuring how to get through each maze without driving like a knucklehead. Anyway, my method is fast AND smooth and I don't sit in the left lane and speed (extreme camping). I've found that the cops are preoccupied with fast drivers in the passing lane so driving fast one lane over works good for me, and I pass only obstinent campers on the right.

Consequently, I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in the car in ages. At one point, I had 31 points on my driver's license. 90% of them were from when I was riding road bikes. I had to sell them all . . . snif . . . but the tickets miraculously ceased. Was that due to smart driving or to the fact that i had no bikes? hmmmmm, you'll have to get to know me better to find the answer!

If you're going to drive fast, drive smart. I had to learn that the hard way (and just about everything else as well) . . . BTW, I can tell you some stories about my adventures with municipal courts and the (former)DMV that could curl your hair!

A big kiss to all the ladies!

Gotta run, TTYL.

Peace . .
