Chemo and Dating, HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

I am preparing to begin Chemo on Friday, and was planning to put dating, and everything else on hold. But what do you all think? Should I not have any fun, because of this? I'm starting to think I better just enjoy every minute I can, who really knows how long we have. Could get in a car accident today, and I didn't get any nookie, that would be a shame! lol

I say if you feel up to it and it makes you happy and relaxed, enjoy. If you decide your too tired, then slow down and enjoy other types of personal interaction. Get well soon! I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I actually dated a women for 6 months who was undergoing Chemo. The week after was always very rough for her, as she had treatments once a month. It was for LUPUS. After about a week she started to regain strength and she felt like you, she wanted to get it as much as she could because she did not know what her future held. So we fucked like Rabbits, it was pretty intense!!!

You all are so sweet, and very inciteful! Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment, your first-hand experiences are true to life. What more could I ask for, than real situations? And just to let you all know, I think I will be up for some nookie! Thanks for the support, and for keeping me in your thoughts! It helps more than you could know! Kelly

i cant say that i've known someone who was going through chemo at that time in their life, know a few who have in the past though. all i could say would be to go with how you are feeling at the time. i know the first days afterwards will be rough but it will hopefully get better for you. i wish you all the luck and will keep you in my prayers also, as that is the best anyone can do for someone. get well soon and keep up the great job with the post. always insightful and right to the point. take care of yourself kelly. hope to see you back at it soon. best of luck.

It is amazing to me the warmth that I feel from a dating website! You guys get me through the day with a smile here, and a chuckle there! I am amazed at how well I am able to stand the meds physically, but there is a lil mental stuff to it too. It should pass quickly I'm told! It looks like I can get through this thing, with the support of friends like you all! Thanks so much, for being there! Kelly

I havent posted to this yet because I have more to say than time to say it in. I have to agree with Doc though. Healing requires strength, but at the same time it requires a good attitude which can falter if you have desires not being met. I too am amazed at the kind-heartedness of the responses to you blog on a sex-search site, and I hope it has restored some faith in people in general (especially horny
If you had someone who could meet your needs, take care of you sexually, and maybe even mentally, and help you through this, well that would be the best of both worlds. But directly regarding the sex issue, someone regular who could take over the physical part of attending to your needs, when you need it, someone you trust and who can be there for you even if only for that...well that's worth looking for. If I were closer, I'd offer to be that guy for you.

Take care. God Bless. Stay strong. Be happy

I think you should follow your heart and soul. Chemo is important, don't get me wrong. But so is living your life. Every moment can be our last and we should all reach for that one moment that makes it all worth while. Why? I say this for a number of reasons. I am 52, be 53 in August. When I was 36, I had a stroke and have lost approx. 20% on my left side. Hardly anone who knows me can see or tell its effect. But after that, I decided I'm gonna live life to the fullest....and you must do the same! Regardless of the thoughts and opinions of others, at least YOU are happy. Right? Hope you keep your head up and just live it well! By the way, I have to say this as well. For whatever reason, and I'm not 100% sure, I feel I should know you. I live in Wright City and go to Hillbilly often. If we do know each other, I sincerely hope you'll walk up to me one day and say hello. OK?! Later, Homer
