covert intervention

He had no idea it was going to happen. He hasn't been sober for over a week. When he called me this morning, he was crying and angry. I assured him that it all would be okay. He made me swear, which I did. He was crying and terrified. Just like when we used to go down in the basement and I held his hand as he was scared there was somebody lurking around down there. He's known nothing but this for most of his life. My heart was breaking. He is so sick. He is the baby of my family and has been drinking since 11 years old. He has extremely high intelligence, the biggest heart of anybody I know and is a good man. It is time for him to lay it down, time to heal, and start anew. I love him, he's my baby brother.

That's very sad and very happy at the same time. Sad because he's had such a problem and happy because he's got someone who loves him enough to try and pull him out of the swamp. Here's a big *HUG* and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hoping he finds his way soon....getting to that lowest point is often the place you have to be before you start working to really change your reality.

Yikes, Muff-a-rino!

I don't get to punch in a smart-assed comment on this one!

Seriously, I'm hoping, praying and wishing a solid recovery for your kid brother.

Hug'n'smootch for you. Take care, sweetie.
