ME, myself, and I

I started out in the big city and my parents moved to the burbs. I am both a middle and the youngest child (youngest daughter). I guess you could say that I am daddy's little girl, minus the spoiling. I had a great childhood. Never wanted for anything. The brady bunch but with alot of drinking. I went to college on my own dime and decided to drop out to help my family financially. I did get a 2 year degree in business management, which is what I do now. Got married when I was 25, pregnant by 26 and then again at 27. When I was a little girl, I used to say to my mom, "I'm going to have a baby but don't want to get married." I so should have stuck to that. My marriage was terrible. I was consumed with drugs, alcohol and subject of terrible abuse. Finally gave up on my marriage after 15 years. Gave up the drugs and alcohol. I raise my daughter's on my own, X is in and out of jail, doesn't help financially. I am makin it, but no extras. I have a relatively quiet life, cept for those teenagers. But they are cool kids with a good head on their shoulders. I am blessed in that way. I will be 45 when my youngest turns 18. Not too old to go have some fun. I have no idea why I wrote this, but something inside is telling me to share more of myself.

Hey, if those kids have good heads on their shoulders it's because of you. You deserve all the credit in the world for overcoming your mistakes and obstacles. I've made mistakes too, and I know how it feels to look back at them and see how far I've come. I am happy for you--you have accomplished a lot!

I am curious though, what are the "extras" you are missing?
