If we didn't meet on the net....

Strange how life is sometimes isn't it?

I met my partner on the net, loved his personality, met up, become friends, then lovers... and settled down.. had kids... and after all this said and done, I asked him "Do you think i would have given you a fair chance if we met in a normal situation?"

In normal I meant, in a pub, through friends, school, relatives, whatever.. just not on the net...

He looked at me... amused and said,"Nope... not in a million years"...

hmmmm... I reflected over what he said... and I have to admit that it would have taken a lot longer and it would not have developed into what we have today...

So.. undeterred by what he said, I asked the one, "Do you think you would have approached me if we met in a normal situation?"

"Nope, I would have loved to but I would not"

And I think to myself... wait a minute.... why is that?...

I have spoken to a couple of gentlemen and I realized that men are actually intimidated by me... no.. not that I bite... LOL but I am nonchalant, unresponsive...

My question then is: Why not persue further? being nonchalant doesn't mean that a lady is unfriendly, unapprochable, uninterested...

The handful who have tried, we went on to have beatutiful friendship that lasts a lifetime...

So really, what do you have to lose if you should approach the lady, who is initially unresponsive? ... absolutly nothing... my take on this is go in for the kill.... especially so if you have a liking for the woman... seriously... go in for the kill....

Good one....

That is true... There is nothing to lose except may be a Male Ego.... but for a wonderful lady.. why not??

Now... Question back.... why the woman don't go for a kill to??

ok ok my hand is up... I admit that I'm one of those guys who are reluctant to chat up new people unless they are proactive in wanting to chat me up as well. I guess I just never liked feeling silly conducting a monologue with myself and being treated like a nuisance. I would associate interest in forging a bond by the degree to which the other party is willing to clap hands with me. If not then I just move on since I'm quite happy with being by myself or with the great friends I have made so far
