my second try

this is the second time i will try this post today. I had just finished writing what I wanted to say, hit spell check and the whole screen just shut down. My ie shut down. So, I'm going to try one more time.
I am leaving tomorrow for a week long visit. Going home to see old times, maybe so old faces.See my family, take my kids to the places I grew up at. Show them where I use to play. When I think about it now, I had the best times. You know it's funny though. I don't want o go back...to that place in time when I had those times.I'm happy with where I am today. Who I am hasn't changed a whole lot, just a little wiser and not such a smart ass.....well not as much as I was then...lol.That place will always be home to me, it has never really mattered where I've lived, that was the only place that was home.I have come to realize though for me the reason that is home, isn't because that's where I was born and lived til I was 15. It's because my family is mostly still there. It's my grandmothers house....the only place that has never changed since I was born. She still has the same phone number she did when I was a child. I spent most of my time there, in that house with my grandparents, my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I'm much closer to my cousin than most of the people I know. I'm so lucky to have them and that love in my life. It feeds me and keeps me going. Now I make sure my kids get the same thing. This will be my 4th time home this year so far. There will be many more later. I have alot of packing to do so I really need to get off for awhile. Hope everyone has A great week. Oh, almost forgot, one thing that has changed since I lived there. When I go home now, I have to remember to pack my dildo's and vib.....lol.

Alas, too many of my relatives have moved or died. The oldest places still occupied by relatives are in the 20-25 year range. My wife's parents are in the same house they've been in for some 45 years or so. I'm at something like my 13th long-term address in this lifetime, with a duration range of 1-7.5 years. The average is under 4 years. When I was born, all of my relatives in the US were within 50 miles of me, and some were just up the block. Now we're scattered from coast to coast and border to border.

some of us have parted ways in terms of where we live, but we are a very close family and make sure we see each other at least 4 times a year. I talk to my cousins almost everyday, and my Grandmother everyday, my dad every other day, my mom when I can, my sister at least once a week, and the same for my brother. Most of my family I talk with at least once a week.We have chosen to remain close no matter where we reside. I hope you stay close with the family you have left, and that you have a family you want to stay close with.
