Marianne lived alone in a big house. She rarely left her house, and spent most of her time maintaining the property, listening to music and reading books.

One evening she ran out of food, and decided to go to the 24-hour shop for some more. When she left, she turned off the television, and turned out the lights.

To her horror, when she got back, she found out she was responsible for the deaths of 80 people.

What happened to them?

As she left the house, she stepped out in front of a coach carrying 40 passengers plus the driver. The bus swerved onto the pavement wiping out a bus queue of 15, before swerving back onto the road causing a car carrying 4 people to crash into a car carrying 5 people, both of which burst into flames and explode killing all the passengers and a bystander. The bus carries on down the road but the driver looks in his mirror, sees the devastation he has caused and promptly has a heart attack and dies. The bus rolls on and into a car park where it runs down an old couple leaving their car, before veering into a shopping mall where it ploughs through the crowds killing another 12 people. Finally the bus runs out of the back of the mall into the ornamental lake, trapping all of the passengers so that they drown.

But it was actually 81 - she got home, saw the news on TV and felt so guilty, she hanged herself
