Autumn's here...

Summer in Britain has come to an end. The Autumn Equinox has occured, and it's now officially "fall". The leaves are gently drifting to the ground, there's a nip in the air and the clocks will be turned back in a few weeks time.

Time to haul out my knitting needles again, and work on some new winter woolie warmers. My favourites are scarves...

... and here's one I made last year!!

Looks like it's your nip in the air! No wonder you need a scarf.

Autumn is just a state of mind, Helga. Every day can be summer id you want it to be.

Erik, autumn is a state of mind, yes, but quite heavily influenced by the weather. Helga, I remember during my last stay in London I was quite shocked to learn how abruptly summer packs her stuff and leaves. One day, around 20th september, I was reading in my backyard after lunch, enjoying the sunshine in my beach shorts. I plunged into the book and didn't notice the passing of time, when I started feeling cold. So, reluctantly I got back inside and watched the clock: 14.30, what the f..k! Addressed some swear words to the gods of climate but had to ascertain that after mid september, summer in south-east Britain lasted from 12.00 to 14.30

Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level then beats you with experience
