Competition among Women

I am looking forward to a day of shopping for 'sexy jeans' with my girlfriend/sometime lover. She is a gorgeous tall blonde girl with a dazzling smile and easy manner; we love each other, simply and easily.

My belief in all matters with women is that we share a common 'sisterhood'; we put each other before the men in our lives because we honor and respect this bond... even if we are with the same man. When I deliberately create this type of friendship with women, I minimize the degree of competitiveness that can create drama (think 'cat fight' )and the possible feelings of jealousy that can arise in this very 'darwinian' culture.

And women tap into this network to share support and information. I have found this to be true, time after time.

I am wondering this morning how much of this rings true for other women...and how many men are aware of the power of the 'sister network'?

well anacortes funny you should ask this about NH. the other night, after coming downstairs following the most painful sexual experience of my life, i dove into the pool to swim off my hurt and anger. a woman i had never seen before found me at the pool's edge and asked if i was alright. i admitted i had had some misgivings about the evening; she listened gently then offered her help in any way. i thanked her but declined. however she continued to watch me carefully the whole time i was in the area...and when my date left, threatening with leaving me there i actually considered asking her for a ride home. she checked in twice more; before i left i made eye contact and waved my thanks and goodbye.

now there was a perfect example of sisterhood. i may never see her again but you can bet ill kiss her when i do...

I have swam in the pool that you speak of, and I think men are much more guarded as showing such emotuions is a sign of weekness, bit some men, who are confident in themselves do get the links that women have and I thnk men have them too, just on a much different plane.

My post.. my blog.. and why I joined Wetspot(Seattle)

I joined Wetspot because they claim to be dedicated to promoting a "sex positive community".. this means for all gender, inclinations, etc.. My blog and approach are to try to consider us ALL as spirits.. human spirits before considering gender, looks, philosophy, etc.

We all have great capacity to help.. help ourselves and others.. a capacity for endless love..

Please dont consider this all BS..

Namaste... with Tantra hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sister Hood Network, very thought provoking.

Now if you could just get a Hillary versus Condelisa election ticket.

Perhaps all the mysoginists would most likely be institutionalized.
