Wow, now that was nice

I blog because it is something I like doing. I blog because it helps me to vent sometimes and work things through for myself. I blog because I sometimes I have things to say and would like others to know because I think they may benefit. I blog and am becoming an avid blogger because I like to see the reactions of others as an extension of people watching.

But blogging for me is an altruist thing. I do not expect kudos or praise for the work I am putting into the entries, but rather the work in my blog is done for it's own sake. So when I received a VERY nice comment, one that moved me deeply, it was an unexpected thing. So unexpected that that I felt the tears well up and I was literally stunned. Stunned also because of who wrote it.

To get a thanks or compliment from a reader is a wonderful thing, but to receive such a note from a fellow blogger means that much more. And not just any blogger, but one of the most respected and read bloggers in this community. One that I have been following from the start of my blogging in this community, one I would truly like to emulate in the respect she has gathered around her within the community.

So what does a blogger do when something like this happens... well he blogs about it and thus you are reading this. How can I not.

The icon that accompanies this entry is not a yellow rose. No, I altered the hue. For in flower speak a yellow rose represent waning love or affection. Indeed, this rose is burgundy which is the opposite, the deepening of affection and adoration for a special person. It is a symbol that I wish to send to this special person for she has truly made my day, nay week, dare I say month. I did not seek the praise, but she bestowed it on me anyways and I am truly touched.

I would bet I do not need to mention who this special person is. If you are reading the blogs in this community, I will bet you know. The icon should say it all.

So, special someone, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are now ever in my thoughts.

A ROSE OF ANY COLOR IS STILL A ROSE. ITS BEAUTY IS SO DEEP AND ITS SCENT AND TEXTURE SO REAL. ALL ROSES HAVE THORNS BUT THE BEAUTY OF THE ROSE IS IN ITS STRENGTH AND ITS MESSAGE IS ONE OF ETERNAL BEAUTY AND LOVE. IT HAS BEEN USED AS A SYMBOL OF PEACE THE WORLD OVER. IT HAS BEEN USED AS AN ANTI-WAR, PRO-PEACE SYMBOL. IT IS A SYMBOL OF WOMANHOOD, STRONG AND POWERFUL IN ITS BEAUTY AND IN IT'S ESSENCE OF LIFE AND FAITH IN THE ETERNITY OF LOVE AND HOPE AND BEAUTY OF LIFE.
