Serious question...You're warned

I'm really sorry to be asking this question on here, but I’ve turned to everyone I can, and still I have gotten nothing, so you are the last resort

This is a very sensitive and very deep issue, don't like the sound of it, don't read....

You are warned...

In my neighborhood, County Sheriff’s and Paramedics have been in and out for the last week to a single house. It belongs to a 45 year old women and her 19 year old son. The son is mixed up in drugs and has been physically abusive to his own mother, and she won't press charges. To make it worse, the kid was my friend a while ago, but now he's on my shit list. And his mother is just really confused and scared. She's a good person, and all I want to do is go down and talk to him. But I know that the day will end with him being carried away in an ambulance and me in handcuffs. He won’t just say, “Yeah I need to change.” It WILL end with us fighting.

But I don't want to just sit back and watch it happen. Cause one day she’s going to end up being seriously hurt....or worse.

What do you think I should do, just go down and take it in stride or....wait?

If you have any advice, please share it.

Thanks.

It sounds like the sheriff's department already knows what's going on. There's a good chance they have already talked to the guy, that is part of their job. For your sake and safety, stay out of it. If you feel the need to "say" something to him, you know his address, write him a letter, but don't physically confront him.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

DaphneR- They do know, and yes the've talkin to him, but they can't do anything about it, they've arrested him a few times but can't hold him because the mom says that it isn't him. If he does it again, I probably won't turn and walk away. but thanks for the words
