The big "to do" list

I am a huge procrastinator. Always have been, probably always will be. In order to try and control the procrastination, I keep a somewhat mental "to do" list in my head. This list contains a whole lot of things. Some are small things, some are big things. Some are things I will probably never get to. Sometimes I take things off of my list. Sometimes I add things back to the list. Every once in a while I get real motivated to check something off of the list. After all it's my list. I control what goes on the list, and what comes off the list. Two Fridays ago I finally broke down and had my first mammogram done. Some reading this would say ok, not such a big deal. To me it was a huge deal. I knew I needed one at 35. Hell I even got the prescription from my doc to have it done. Huge family history of breast cancer. Grandmother died of it. Aunt had it. Mom had it. Knew it had to be done, but never did it. Procrastinator, big time. This year did it again. Found a doctor. Discussed it. Took my tongue lashing. Got the prescription. Made the appt. Actually went through with it. And today got the letter that I'm good to go. Come back at 40. Almost three years later I can cross get a mammogram off the list. A big accomplishment for me. One small cross off on the "to do" list . . . one giant step towards evolution. Now I'm stuck wondering what's next to cross off the "to do" list. Are you a procrastinator? Do you have a "to do" list? When's the last time you crossed something off of it? Is it just fear that prevents us or do we justify the procrastination? Does time make the list get smaller or are you like me and just keep adding to it? Will you pass this by and not leave a comment or help me justify my behavior?????????

I am glad your test came back fine....

And yes... I am a chronic procrastinator... I need pressure to get things done. But I am very good under pressure. And I have several to-do lists...

Just replying to your post (by the way, thanks for visiting my blog) - thought I'd mention that I work in Butler Co. So my thinking was, since I'm already coming from Preble into Butler Co., it would be very easy to just keep driving and end up in, say, Warren Co. Just a thought. Maybe too forward, but I just wanted to write this down before I forgot to mention it. Because I'm accommodating. Really.

Hi happygirl,

Good news is always wonderful and welcome.

Yes, I'm a procrastinator, but also an achiever as in I never let anything drag on past the point of no return, guess I like the pressure.
