Some things better left addressed

It amuses me to no end how some can see nothing wrong with themselves, and fault everyone else around them. I have seen this comment in many different sets of words, and many different contexts, but the premise is the same:

"if it had been (one gender), I wouldn't tolerate that. I expect better behavior from (the other gender)."

While on the surface, this comment doesn't seem like it's all that out of sorts, here's what bugs me: How can one be expected to do no wrong, and the other be completely at fault?

Truth be told, both genders are horrible at things when it comes to interpersonal relationship. We all, men and women both, need to get over ourselves sometimes when we seem to think that one gender is superior to the other. We are all made up of the same stuff...we have the same beginnings and same endings (meaning we come into this world with nothing, go out of it with nothing, dust to dust as it were). We all do stupid stuff too...whether it's in AdultFriendFinder or in the local tavern or workplace or wherever.

No one gender can be singled out in this. I have received some really sexually forward emails from women, with shots of their tits and crotch, and watched these very same women complain about receiving sexually forward emails with cock shots from men. It can't be both ways, and there's no way to justify a double standard.

What it comes back to is treating each other...male or female...respectfully. The premise of this site is sex, yes. But the best sex is achieved when people treat each other with respect, even if it's just a one-nighter.

"if it had been a man, I would have killed him! I expect better behavior from a woman."

This is so out of context it's hard to make sense of it...
but it doesn't sound to me like she was saying men are expected to behave badly but that if they do it's not tolerated as easily as if it's another woman. Which I think is human nature and that men are likely to have the same reaction to other men behaving badly.

I don't think it's so much a superiority issue as it is a fraternity/sorority mentality, which I guess can be just as non-therapeutic lol.

I do agree that the double standard is alive and well on AdultFriendFinder. The men are just horny but the women are whores. Why else would a woman be here?
