Dropped into the chat room last night, and was greeted by a local with a line similar to

"too bad I'm not in your age bracket"

I see lots of men viewing the blog, so here's a question for you guys: How do you set your age limits? Or do you not set any at all when it comes to meeting women?

I won't meet anyone under 25 (I'm 33) just because I feel a little wierd with anyone younger than that (almost like a senior in HS dating a freshman or ) and I originally said I wouldn't go higher than 36. However, this lady (who's 40 I believe) has piqued my interest to the point that I told her to send me a picture and I'd consider getting together with her.

What do you guys think...and ladies, what do you think about it? I frequent the chat, and I see "you're too young" or "you're too old" quite a bit.

Generally I will go 20 years younger and ten years older, but it all depends on the person. some mature 30 year olds are much more sensible than 50 year olds who don't know anything. Obviously you have most in common with those within five years either direction.

Young, it's hard to say... most men under 25 just don't have close to the maturity I need, but then again, there are some exceptions... my standard on older, is they shouldn't be older than my stepdad (15 years older than me) but there are exceptions sometimes... depends on the guy... the guy I'm seeing the most of now, is just barely under the limit.

For me, pretty much, I look at their age as a factor, but it's not a hard-and-fast limit. If someone is a little out of my range, but has other qualities that can make up for it, I'll give it a go. I recently spent time with a guy who was only 23 or 24, but it was a fabulous time and I'd do him again, given the chance.
