Blogging is fun but .....

I truly enjoy the opportunity to express myself and appreciate the comments that I have received. But I feel like I am operating in the Land of Make Believe.

At the outset, I had this hope that in sharing a little more of me than I might in commenting on someone elses blog or in the various groups, that I might actually get to meet someone for conversation at the least and physical fun at the best. Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy the blogging. And occasionally there are some really interesting, even enticing comments. But I had really hoped for something more.

Am I foolish for thinking that my hopes were realistic or is it that I don't have enough patience. Oh well, I'm not likely to stop blogging any time soon so I may as well be patient.

Thanks for putting up with this minor rant.

Some find the fact that you are married rather limiting....counting on what they truly desire...
They would be missing meeting with a gentleman that has a lot of depth and thought.....~winks~

The other thing is, there are so many bloggs out there and so many people already know each other...1st starting you're the odd person out and nobody knows you. Plus I recently read a post that said most bloggers are over 30; I think more regular bloggers are here for the blogging rather than setting up trysts...

In a way this is sort of an experience in social psychology as well as the opportunity to "learn" myself a little better; you don't get best friends overnight...it takes awhile for you to get to know and like each other and we as individuals don't appeal to everyone equally so it shouldn't be surprising that it takes awhile to get acqainted and establish a presence.

Your 1st and maybe only opportunity to get to know someone here (and mine, I mean in general) is by the written word so you have to make the best of it. We can't all be cheerleaders, you know. And some of us never wanted to be, lol.
