Your sorry about my what?

One thing some of you know and some don't is I have two younger sisters. They are just now hitting their teenage years...and I remember them more as youngsters.

Well, my baby sister is very outspoken...and she definantly takes after me in the fact that no one messes with our family and gets away with it.

It was a bright and early day. I was 16, and my youngest sister was 7. My middle sister had gone to a sleepover, so me and Haley decided to have a sleepover of our own.
That morning we decided to get breakfeast, so, with her in the passenger side, and me at the wheel, we went to a lovely little locally owned resturant to get some food.

We pulled up to the speaker, and ordered our food. WE then pulled to the next window. Now, due to it being locally owned, they didn't have all of the technical luxuries of a computer ordering system. They had to write down the order, and cook it. So, natually it took a little while to get the order ready. Finally, the waitress came to the window, and says... "I'm sorry about your wait."
She took the money, and as she was giving me back my change, my sister blurts out... "My sister isn't Stupid ASS!!!"
We both stared at my sister, her in shock and me in horror at what just came out of her mouth. Again, she says
"My sister isn't fat, so you have nothing to be sorry for!! Now get me my food!!"
I looked at the lady, the pleas of forgiveness heavy in my eyes.
" I'm so sorry..."
She laughs. The lady, shakes her head and says...don't worry about son is the same way. With that she handed me my bag of food, adds a chocolate pie for Haley and we head home.

On the way, I made sure she understood the difference between wait and

My son (the 8 yr old boy) once said to a woman at the grocery store that she needed to be nicer to be when she asked if I needed a bagger. He thought She was asking if I needed a begger because I looked bad that day. I was at the store in my PJ's because I was sick. He turned to the cashier and said "Lady, my mom is sick and she doesn't always look like this. She is usually a very pretty mommy. So you should say sorry before she cries." I had to laugh. He was only 4 at the time. Then after we got home and I looked in the mirror I had to give the credit for sticking up for his mom, I really looked like shit!

LOL! that is funny. my sister is also 9 years younger than me... when I was 16 and supposed to be baby sitting her, i was trying to get her to go to bed... i said: "when i was your age i had to go to bed at 8 o' clock."
she said: "But, B----, that was in the olden days!"
I just gave her a filthy look, then packed out laughing!

One day I'm driving with my family down Bent Mountain, and off in a field someone set up a big revival tent. My older daughter asks,"who is that, daddy?" I said it was an evangelist. She asks, "what's an evangelist?" and my younger daughter (about six then) says, "they're the bad boys who throw rocks at the school windows." Ya gotta love them kids.
