What Goddess did... PART 2

She boarded the plane and took her seat. This flight was heading to Ohio, and the seat she was to sit in for this trip was the window seat. She sat down and immediately hooked her seat belt. She took a few deep breaths and tried to read her book. It was useless. The book wasn't going to help her. She kept reading the same paragraph, but the words weren't registering. The sky was still dark, and the sun had yet to make it's presence known.
She glanced at her watch and noted that it's hands were indicating that she had 5 minutes until take-off. She jumped back up and headed to the little tiny bathroom. She closed the door and looked into the mirror. Her face was pale, and she was sweating a little. The knock on the door was startled her. She opened the door to see a beautiful face. The Flight attendant smiled at her and reminded her that the plane was about to take off. She needed to sit down and buckle up. As the young woman walked away from Mandy, she imagined what it would have been like to pull her into the bathroom with her and kiss her beautiful full lips. Shaking the thought, Mandy went back to her seat and listened to the directions on safety.
Then, the plane started to move. At first, dear Mandy didn't think anything of it. It was slow, and it was actually kind of relaxing. She had no idea that this was "taxi-ing"
Once the plane made it's final turn, the captain let all 24 passengers know that the plane was taking off. They rounded a corner, and it felt as though the plane had gone from 0 to 90 Mph in 3 seconds. IN the following two seconds, they were starting to go into the air. Mandy didn't realize that the pain in her chest was her holding her breath. Once they were in the sky, Mandy looked out of her window. It was actually a beautiful thing to see Lexington from this view. The city was lit and the streets still somewhat dead. People were probably just starting their day at this point.
Mandy sat back and relaxed. She closed her eyes and started to fall asleep. That's when the shaking started. They were tiny jerks at first. But, they started to get harder and the plane tipped from one side to the other. Mandy gripped her seat. The Flight Attendant came over the speaker and stated in a somewhat calm voice
"Attention passengers, the plane has come into some Turbulence. For my own safety, I will not be serving drinks on this flight. I do apologize for the inconvenience."
Then the captains voice came over.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I do apologize, but there will be turbulence until we get to Cleveland. We have hit some storms and will try to ease it as best we can. Thank you."

Mandy swallowed hard, and actually watched as the rain drizzled by. She gripped the arms of the seat with the best grip her sweaty hands would allow. She actually felt nauseated. Breathing deep, she recited the alphabet, names of fellow Bloggers, anything she could think of to keep her mind on the events taking place around her.

The plane did land in Cleveland, but Mandy's breakfast was no longer in her stomach....

Heh. You know normally, the turbulance starts AFTER they serve the coffee and just as you're trying to take a sip.

It gets better ... honest .... before you know it, you won't even notice the turbulence and will get pissed off when they cancel the beverage service.

Ever want to escape to Canada ... let me know.

What luck to have a turbulant flight for your first. Just when you were getting relaxed. Hoping the rest of your flights went well. Crossing my fingers and toes.
One of my first flights I fell asleep before we were off the ground.
Can't wait to here of your adventures between flights.
I'll be flying away again soon. Long trip this time. There'll be another rousing game of "Where in the World is Space Ranger". Stay tuned.

You have to wait until you're in the air before you can become a member of the mile high club ....doing it before take off doesnt count ..

The first time I got on a plane I was about 3 or 4 I dont quite remember...It was a big ol 747 and we were headed to DisneyLand from Seattle...well...there was alot of tubulence...I MEAN ALOT...the seatbelt light was on almost the whole trip from what I understand...when we got off apprently I look up at my parents who didnt enjoy the ride and said "Lets do it again" sigh...yea I enjoy the plane ride..my parents didnt

I am so sorry this turned out to be such an ordeal for you.
You were unlucky to find turbulence in your first flight.
It is quite normal to get nervous when the aircraft shakes.
I do too. In such situations one has to trust one's mind
rather than one's senses. Planes do not crash so easily.
I hope you next flying experience will be much better!

I hear the turbulence continued even after landing. I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well, sweetie, and even more sorry we never got the chance to be acquainted. Tell Angel I miss her.

Mwah!

Congrats on a successful trip! I know that this has been stressing you. Turbulence isn't fun for even the most experienced traveller. Maybe that book should have been erotic stories to keep you distracted? *smile*

Flew into Denver once from Cleveland. As we approached the city of Denver looking out the window I could see thunder storm with lighting surrounding the city. GEE! But totally cool. We landed a-ok! I thanked the pilots for doing a cool job!

Welcome back Mandy...safe and sound

It's only flying. Nothing to get nervous about. It's good that you experienced some turbulence. Now you see how hard it is to bring one of those suckers down.
