The duality of man
The duality of man
I have no idea if "duality" is a real word or not. It's a catchy phrase I heard on a movie. Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, Yin and Yang, an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. The concept is the same, opposites working against one another. Not to disapoint my biology friends out there, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. I like to think I have a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other, with common sense and instinct in the middle. When common sense and instinct is lost, the angel chimes in. "don't do it, you're a good boy." Followed by the devil, "Don't listen to that fairy freak. What has being good ever gotten you? Do it! Be a man"
Most of my life I've been a good boy. Grew up in a nice middle class home with both parents. Did good in school. I was even an eagle scout. But what has being good really done? Especially with women. Women don't want a good man anymore. This site is filled with women that would break a good man. Infedility. There's even a woman that loves extra-marital sex, but doesn't want to hurt her hubby. Everyone has thier kink.
Lately, the devil has been winning. No, I haven't boinked anyone's wife....yet. But since I've been home from my last field trip, I've realized it's a dog eat dog world, and I'm a pit bull with a tape worm.
The angel won a few weeks ago. A person I talk to through the internet was having problems with drinking. She decided to quit and I told her that if she stayed sober, I'd give her a back rub. No hidden agenda. Not trying to get into her panties. Just reinforcing her not to drink. She seemed to like the idea, but strangely enough, I never heard from her for about 2 weeks. Common sense, she's drinking again. I talked to her recently, and met her for dinner. So to recap so far, she didn't want my help, totally blew me off, so why did i ask her to dinner? Because deep down I'm a nice guy.
God, what a curse.
