Games, games, games

Why do so many people insist on playing games? I'm not talking about naked twister and hide and seek various body appendages, I'm talking mind games. Is there some great feeling of euphoria in pretending to be something you're not? Or perhaps they're just scared of taking a chance and meeting someone in person, preferring to hide behind a computer screen? And the lame excuses....c'mon, if you can put so much effort in devising a great story, at least put as much effort into a good alibi. Maybe they see something that makes them think you're doing wrong, so they're acting as a vigilante to teach you a lesson. Judge not, unless you're ready to be judged.
Like the kid who bragged about his great summer in Alaska hunting polar bears with the Hell's Angels, sooner or later people will figure you out and do the worst possible thing to you...ignore you, deprive you of the attention you so desire.
I'm stepping off the soapbox again...until next time.
