I am very proud of myself tonight

Tonight I cooked. Yes, that's right, I cooked my own dinner. Big deal you say? It is a big deal. I don't cook. In fact I HATE to cook. I haven't cooked in months. The only thing I use my stove for is to heat leftover pizza. If it doesn't go straight from the freezer to the microwave with instructions that are nothing more than to cut a slit in the top, I don't make it. Tonight, although my dinner did come straight from the freezer, it required the use of a stovetop burner, a skillet, measuring and melting butter, 4 packets to be added at different times, and stirring...lots of stirring. I must have read the instructions a million times to make sure I was doing it right. Everything turned out just fine...except I still hate to cook.

BTW...I CAN cook, I just choose not to.

Seems most of the women I know either can't cook, don't cook, or at best don't really like to. I love to cook and make my own meals generally twice a day, but I get tired of being the only one in a relationship who cooks. Yes, cooking for one isn't always fun or easy, and it's difficult to get motivated, but I'm worth it. I'm glad you did it, but the question is whether you'll do it again.

I do not like to cook and so eat out a lot. My older son does all the cooking at his house as his wife is a non-cooker but a good looker. He has really surprised me with this as when he lived at home he did not want to do anything like work but marriage, children and a nice home and job have changed him to were maybe the old man knew what he was talking about.

I wouldn't mind cooking so much if I had a kitchen with counter space, a stove and oven that heated properly and someone to clean up after me. As a result, I don't cook. Well, I made a grilled cheese in the toaster oven a few weeks ago. Does that count?
